Step 2: The back roof area is finished. Ties (invisible here) bind one or more layers of netting together to secure the membrane's stability and distribute the finished shell's load more evenly.
Step 3: The center of arches is established by threading across the cables two ropes, the twist in-between securing their location without locking the cables in, which are to be loosened or tightened to adjust the curvature (though unintended to be load-bearing, the same cables might be used as such). Narrow bands of netting are woven through on each side of the divide to show where the cables will lie under or over the membrane's surface; the bands anchored at the base bracing the surface of the already installed membrane.
Step 4: The shape of arches is established by laying bands of netting between the opposite diagonal sides of the arch-forming framework. The twist in the band determines the surface configuration of the sides of the arches-to-be.
