Kasuba Works
MINIMAL SURFACES 1986. The configurations of minimal surfaces were developed by David Hoffman, James Hoffman, and William Meeks III at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1986 by plotting mathematical equations as pictures on a computer screen. In their geometries Kasuba detected 2-D patterns, applied them to stretch fabric, and in stretching the limp shapes translated the computer generated images into 3D objects.
